Last night I sat down in the living room with my mom and watched Obama make his speech about what the stimulus package will cover. This is the first time since he won the election that I actually sat down and listen while he spoke. Laziness at it's best. But it was important for me to sit down and hear how this package will improve our economy, considering I've been very pessimistic about it all. Hearing about hundreds of Americans losing their jobs, listening to my coworkers complain about the lack of tips they're getting from customers, the telephones not ringing as much as they use to and being slow on certain nights when we should be busy as hell; a person can't help but wonder, when am I going to lose my job? I wasn't in a positive state of mind about our economy up until last night. I won't break down everything he stated but I will say it gave me hope. Hope that this stimulus package will work and that we will no longer have to wake up every morning and wonder is this going to be our last day? It's safe to say that I am no longer feeling pessimistic about our economy and 88% of Americans feels the same way after listening to Obama's speech last night.
