Cash Flow. Entry 1

Today was suppose to be my day at the bar but a couple of days ago I was informed due to legal reasons I was not allow to train without clocking in...It has some thing to do with the insurance. Because we're on a budget at the moment no one is allow to get any overtime therefore I would not be able to clock in as bartender training because I'll have too many hours. The managers are looking for a way to get around that so until they do I won't be training...Bummer.

Right now I'm youtubing it up, watching videos of people unboxing their macbooks and/or macbook pros. That is when I realize that I was saving my money for something I didn't really want..which is the mac book, not the mac book pro. Stupid, stupid me, I know. I then decided if I'm going to save over $1000.00 then I might as well go big and save over $2000.00...which I am. So I won't be getting a new laptop sooner than I thought. Doing the calculations I probably won't have it until the end of April. Sounds so long, I know. But I'm determined to stick it out. I don't make a lot of money but I often spend it. Why and on what? I did some thinking and came to the conclusion that majority of my money goes to food. In my mind I think I'm only spending $5.00 a day on food but in reality I'm not. I eat out maybe 2 times a day; ergo I'm spending way too much money on food. And my weight is a reflection on that. I haven't weight myself in about a year but last time I went to the doctor I was about 112....I know for a fact that I gain some weight, seeing that I have to struggle to fit into my jeans and my hips are getting bigger. YES I AM GETTING MY ASS BACK!!!!! I'm semi happy about this, yet semi sad. With gaining weight, I'm going to have to purchase new clothing and with purchasing new clothing, I'm going to have to spend money. And spending money is something I'm trying to avoid. And being fat is one of my biggest fears therefore by not eating 2, 3 times a day, I'm putting an end to both my problems.  I've also decided to document the process of saving money on my blog. Welcoming the "Cash Flow" series. Starting out with $20.00 a week, cash; I'm going to document how much I spend each day. What I spend my money on and if I needed to make a quick dash to the bank to pull out some more money and at the end of my work week, which is tuesday I'll see how much money I have left over and put that away as well. I'm excited to see the outcome of me doing so. Hopefully keeping up with what I purchase on a day to day basis, I'll learn what habits I need to break.
