Right now I'm half way through the album. I guessing that the first half of the album is suppose to be Beyonce and the other half is her alter ego Sasha Fierce.
When I heard she was doing an alter ego, I instantly thought about T.I and TIP. Failure. He was talking to himself and whatnot...People actually thought it was a clever idea but I thought it was creepy.
Beyonce's album isn't anything like that. Thank god. She isn't talking to herself, directly telling her audience that they aren't the same. Instead she is distinguishing the personalities through her music.
Beyonce's music is about smooth ballads, strong vocals and extremely soulful. While Sasha Fierce music is more for the clubs.
I prefer Beyonce's music more than Sasha Fierce. That's probably why I love "If I were a Boy" and hate "Single ladies" Man I really hate that song.
I really love all the songs she did as Beyonce on this album.
But as Sasha Fierce I expected more. She fell short on this part. Not one song she has on this album can compare to songs like "Upgrade You" or "Get Me Bodied" on the album Bday and of course the classic "Crazy In Love" single.
Out of an 10 I would give it an 7.5
Also when you're listening to Ego, remember she is talking about his EGO. Haha I have such a perverted mind.
