Monday was suppose to be the beginning of the marathon but work as been kicking my butt lately. I'm usually leave late on mondays because payroll is due the following day. And I'm sick...I am eating my mother's famous homemade chicken noddle soup as I type while watching CNN.
All CNN has been about for the past months is the election. It is a pretty big election and guess what? We only have 6 more days to go! Who is excited? I know I am. For the first time, I have been keeping up with politics since I am 19 and is able to vote. Of course I have taken a liken in Obama. Not only because he is a black man but he is good candiate. He stands for change and I think that is what America needs right now. Having Bush in office scared me, especially after the 911 attack. As our president he was suppose to protect us and he fail to do so. All signs points to him that the attack was all his fault and he fail to do anything about it. How was I suppose to feel safe after that? Not possible. His term is up and now it is time for a change.
Now it's McCain vs Obama. As of recently Obama is in lead and could possibly take this thing. Which I know a lot of us would want. But there are always people out there who wouldn't feel so comfortable with him in office.
Here is a recent comment I heard from a co-worker of mine.
"If he messes up while in office he will set black people so back"....
Then you have the people who believe that Obama doesn't have enough experience to run our country and that he is really terrorist.
If anyone is a terroist; it would be Bush. Our Country is shit because of him. And the fact that McCain has concur with Bush's action just proves that he wants things to remain the same. Not what I want. For my first time voting I want it to mean something. I want see different things happening. I want to see that the useless war finally come to an end and that our economy will eventually get better. When we hear Obama speak or read what he writes, he gives you hope and make you feel safe that things will get better with change on it's way.
This is why I'm voting for Obama/Biden....I want change to come to America.
